Do you know you're meant for more but aren't quite sure what that looks like anymore?
Maybe you've been successful on paper, but something still feels off. You want work that feels meaningful, relationships that matter, and a life that reflects who you are and what matters most. You know you're capable of more, you just need the clarity and confidence to create it.
Welcome to The Intentional Mind Podcast, a show for purpose-driven women who want to intentionally design a life they're proud of.
I'm Angela Barnard (aka Ang), a keynote speaker, coach, and mom of two who believes that creating a fulfilling life starts with getting clear on your vision and taking intentional action toward it.
Each week, we have honest conversations about what's working, what's not, and what we're doing about it. You'll find practical tools, simple systems, mindset shifts, and encouraging conversations to help you move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to living with greater clarity, purpose, and intention. We'll laugh a lot, keep it real, and hopefully leave you feeling a little less alone and a lot more confident about your next step.
Together, we'll talk about:
• Clarifying your vision so you know what you're truly working toward
• Creating meaningful work that aligns with your strengths, values, and the season of life you're in
• Building practical habits, systems, and routines that help you follow through
• Faith, purpose, courage, and making decisions with greater clarity and confidence
If you're ready to stop living by default and start creating a life you're genuinely proud of, you're in the right place.
Let's build a life that aligns with who we are, what matters most, and the impact we're here to make.

261 - Have you ever felt like you should be farther along in life… but you’re just not making the progress you want to?
Maybe you keep telling yourself things like:
“I’ll start once things calm down.”
“I just need to get more organized first.”
“I’ll go for it when I feel more ready.”
And somehow the progress you want keeps getting pushed further down the road.
In this episode, Ang talks about why so many of us wait for the conditions to be perfect before taking action, how that quietly blocks progress, and the mindset shift that is helping her start bringing more of the desires on her heart to life.
If you’ve been feeling like you should be farther along but life still feels messy or chaotic, this episode may help you see why that might be happening and what you can start doing about it.

260 - Do you ever feel like you’re constantly planning… but somehow still not at peace?
Like your mind is always six weeks ahead, trying to optimize, prepare, and future-proof, yet you feel more anxious than calm?
If you love to plan but find yourself overwhelmed, mentally preoccupied, or emotionally living in tomorrow, this episode is for you.
In this episode, I’m unpacking:
• Why over-planning can actually increase anxiety
• Biblical wisdom around planning intentionally without worrying about tomorrow
• How to tell whether you’re planning from peace or from fear
• Three simple strategies to help you plan for the future without losing presence today
Because planning isn’t the problem. The energy behind your planning might be.
If you’re in a busy season----building a career, raising kids, growing something meaningful, this conversation will help you hold vision responsibly without carrying unnecessary mental weight.
And if this resonates with you…
This spring, I’m planning on hosting a live Clarify Your Vision experience to help you get clear on what’s next so you can move forward with intention, not anxiety. If you’re interested, send me a message so I can plan accordingly. I’d love to know you’re in. You don’t have to control the future to move toward it confidently.

258 - If you’re a high-achieving woman (especially a mom) who’s juggling a lot yet still craving more fulfillment, peace, and ease…this episode is for you!
Because there comes a moment when you realize:
“I can’t keep giving my energy to everyone else’s expectations or demands.”
And that moment invites you into a different way of living, one that feels calmer, clearer, and way more aligned with who you actually want to be.
This episode is all about that shift.
It’s about learning to operate as the CEO of your life, not the assistant, not the person reacting to every text, need, preference, urgency, opinion, or expectation that comes your way. And not the woman bending her time around other people’s rules for how they operate.
This isn’t about job titles.
This is about energy.
This is about alignment.
This is about fulfillment.
When you begin living as the CEO of your life, you become more intentional with your time, your attention, and your presence. You stop letting small things steal your energy, and you start giving yourself permission to honor what actually matters, even when others don’t understand your boundaries.
In this episode, I share real stories and a simple, empowering way to look at your daily life so you can show up more grounded, more centered, and more like the woman you want to be.
This episode will inspire you to:
• Protect your energy without guilt
• Create space for what fulfills you
• Honor your time even when others expect something else
• Live with more intention, clarity, and personal leadership

257 - There comes a point in every growth season where you realize not everything can come with you. Whether it’s a commitment, a project, a friendship, or even a mindset, you start to feel the pull to let go of what’s draining your energy so you can redirect it toward what really matters. That’s the essence of the pruning season.
In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to be in a pruning season and why it’s actually a sign of growth, not failure. You’ll learn how to identify what’s no longer aligned, release what’s stealing your energy, and create the boundaries that make room for your next level.
It’s not always pretty. Pruning can be uncomfortable, uncertain, and even painful at times, but it’s how you make space for the fruit you actually want to grow.
If you’re a high achieving woman or mom juggling a lot, this one’s for you. It’s a permission slip to stop pouring energy into what’s not working and start intentionally cultivating what will.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
• How to recognize when you’re in a pruning season (and not mistake it for a setback)
• The difference between quitting and pruning
• How to create boundaries that protect your peace and energy
• A mindset shift to help you release what’s no longer aligned without guilt
• Real stories from my own pruning season that might just mirror yours

256 - There’s nothing more exhausting than feeling like someone’s energy is pulling you down, especially when you can't just rid them out of your life given the dynamics you're in AND you’ve worked hard to protect your peace! It might be a coworker who always complains, a family member who brings tension into the room, or someone you live with who just isn’t meeting you where you are energetically. These moments really test us.
Recently, I was in one of those moments...I could feel my energy dipping, frustration rising, and my mind jumping to stories about fairness and respect. Instead of reacting, I chose something different: energy leadership. Building on Episode 255 (Busy but Not Burned Out), we’re applying that same energy-first lens to people dynamics so you can protect your peace without carrying what isn’t yours.
In this episode, we’re talking about 3 steps to take to meet this energy in a way that helps you keep your power and energy up.
Missed last week? Listen to Episode 255 for the system-level support during busy seasons.
