Do you know you're meant for more but aren't quite sure what that looks like anymore?
Maybe you've been successful on paper, but something still feels off. You want work that feels meaningful, relationships that matter, and a life that reflects who you are and what matters most. You know you're capable of more, you just need the clarity and confidence to create it.
Welcome to The Intentional Mind Podcast, a show for purpose-driven women who want to intentionally design a life they're proud of.
I'm Angela Barnard (aka Ang), a keynote speaker, coach, and mom of two who believes that creating a fulfilling life starts with getting clear on your vision and taking intentional action toward it.
Each week, we have honest conversations about what's working, what's not, and what we're doing about it. You'll find practical tools, simple systems, mindset shifts, and encouraging conversations to help you move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to living with greater clarity, purpose, and intention. We'll laugh a lot, keep it real, and hopefully leave you feeling a little less alone and a lot more confident about your next step.
Together, we'll talk about:
• Clarifying your vision so you know what you're truly working toward
• Creating meaningful work that aligns with your strengths, values, and the season of life you're in
• Building practical habits, systems, and routines that help you follow through
• Faith, purpose, courage, and making decisions with greater clarity and confidence
If you're ready to stop living by default and start creating a life you're genuinely proud of, you're in the right place.
Let's build a life that aligns with who we are, what matters most, and the impact we're here to make.

275 - Do you ever feel like you're constantly juggling work, home, family, and personal goals... yet still end the week wondering where your time went?
In this episode, I'm sharing the simple operating system that's helped me feel more intentional, less overwhelmed, and more aligned with the life I'm trying to build.
This isn't about squeezing more into your schedule. It's about creating a system that helps you make consistent progress on what matters most while giving you the margin to be present for your family, your work, and yourself.
In this episode, I share:
• The five core pieces of my personal operating system.
• How creating a "second brain" helps me stop carrying everything around in my head.
• Why I organize my calendar differently than most people.
• How focus blocks help me make meaningful progress without feeling constantly busy.
• The simple weekly review that helps me stay aligned with my goals and priorities.
If you've been feeling scattered, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly reacting instead of living intentionally, I hope this episode gives you a practical framework you can begin using right away.
And if listening to this makes you realize you're ready to create a clearer vision for your work and life, I'd love to talk with you.

274 - Have you ever looked around at the life you've worked so hard to build and realized... it doesn't quite fit anymore?
That's the conversation we're having today.
In this episode, I'm opening up about a season I've been walking through myself. From the outside, life looks good. I've worked hard, built a meaningful career, and have so much to be grateful for. But over the past several months, I've realized something important:
Sometimes we don't need a completely different life, we need a life that's better aligned with the person we're becoming.
If you've been feeling restless, disconnected from work that once excited you, or like your priorities have shifted, you're not alone. This episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and give yourself permission to notice what may no longer be serving you.
In this episode, I share:
• Why it's completely normal for your definition of success to change over time
• Some of the honest thoughts and feelings I've been navigating in this season of my own life
• The first step toward creating a life and work that feel more aligned with who you're becoming
If you've been thinking, "Something isn't quite right, but I can't put my finger on it," I hope this conversation reminds you that you're not behind, you're not failing, and you're certainly not alone. Sometimes growth simply asks us to become intentional again.
I'd love your help.
I'm currently designing a new program for women who feel like they've outgrown the life or work they've created and are ready to intentionally build what's next. As part of that process, I'm having a small number of Career Alignment Conversations to better understand what this season is really like.
If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story.

273 - To be clear, we're talking about using ChatGPT to align your work with the lifestyle you want to have, not using it for resume stuff.
I'm sharing five of my favorite ways to use ChatGPT to create more clarity, confidence, and alignment in your career, many of these I use with my own coaching clients who I'm helping transition into doing work they love that fits the season they're in.
If you're trying to figure out what kind of work actually fits you, prepare for important meetings, make sense of what energizes you, or simply think more intentionally about your next chapter, these prompts are super helpful.
I'd love your help.
I'm currently doing research for my next career alignment program and am looking for people to interview to help me best design my next program. I'd love to interview anyone who may "look successful on paper," but feels like they have outgrown their current way of working and want to figure out what is next for them and how to start doing work that is more aligned with the lifestyle they want to have. 272 - In this episode, I'm sharing seven signs that you've outgrown your current way of working.
Maybe you've been feeling more drained than energized. Maybe work that used to feel meaningful doesn't anymore. Or maybe you've simply been sensing that the way you've been working no longer fits the life you're trying to build.
This isn't about making a rash career move or quitting your job tomorrow. It's about paying attention to what your life, energy, and values might be trying to tell you.
Before you can intentionally design work that fits who you are today, you first have to recognize what's no longer working.
Think of this episode as the "before" picture.
I'd love your help.
I'm currently designing a new Career Alignment program, and I'm looking to have a handful of short Career Alignment Conversations with people who feel like they've outgrown their current way of working.
If that sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story. Your insights will help me create something that's genuinely useful for people navigating this season.

271 - Should I Want More?
Have you ever felt pressure to pursue something simply because everyone around you thinks you should?
Maybe it's growing your business, taking on more clients, earning more money, climbing higher in your career, or saying yes to opportunities that look great on paper...
But what if more isn't always the goal?
In this episode, I share a recent reflection on the tension between outside expectations and personal vision. We'll talk about how easy it is to get pulled into someone else's definition of success and why it's important to regularly pause and ask:
What do I actually want?
We'll explore the difference between growth and alignment, how to discern whether an opportunity is truly yours to pursue, and why staying connected to your values, season of life, and God-given vision matters more than keeping up with everyone else.
If you've ever found yourself wondering whether you should be doing more, building more, or wanting more, this episode is a reminder that success isn't about following someone else's path.
It's about having the courage to follow your own.

270 - Have you ever felt like everyone else is moving ahead while you're just trying to keep up?
Recently, I found myself overwhelmed by the realities of working motherhood—juggling childcare, household responsibilities, work, business goals, and the never-ending mental load that comes with trying to do it all. But beneath the stress was a deeper fear:
Am I falling behind?
In this episode, I share a mindset shift and biblical perspective that brought me peace, renewed my energy, and reminded me that God is not limited by my timeline.
We'll talk about the tension many working moms face between ambition and motherhood, trusting God's timing, and why this season may not be delaying your future, it may actually be preparing you for it.
If you've ever felt torn between the work you're called to do and the people you're called to love, this episode is for you.
What if you're not falling behind?
What if you're being formed?

269- Maybe you've been craving more peace, more joy, or just a little less chaos in your day-to-day life.
But instead of feeling calm and clear, you feel like you're constantly trying to keep up. There are always dishes to do, emails to answer, errands to run, meals to plan, goals to chase, and somehow you're supposed to remember all of it while also being present for the people you love.
If you're ambitious, you probably have a list of things you'd like to improve too. Your health. Your finances. Your home. Your business. Your relationships.
And while it's easy to assume the answer is more discipline, more motivation, or better time management, what if the real solution is something much simpler?
A system.
In this episode, I'm sharing a story that reminded me just how important systems are and why they might be one of the most overlooked keys to creating more peace, joy, and freedom in our lives.
Because anything we do repeatedly deserves a system. And when we don't have one, we end up carrying the mental load ourselves.
In this episode, I talk about:
• Why so many of us feel overwhelmed even when we're doing our best
• The hidden cost of making the same decisions over and over again
• How a simple system can reduce stress and create more peace
• Why motivation isn't the answer to recurring problems
• The connection between systems, energy, and mental load
• Areas of life that may be asking for more structure right now
• Questions to help you identify where a new system could make life easier
If you've been feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or frustrated that life feels harder than it needs to, this episode is an invitation to stop carrying everything in your head and start creating systems that support the life you want to live.

267 - You’re not off track… but your mind might be.
In this episode, I’m sharing a recent moment where I caught myself feeling disappointed and when I really looked at it, it wasn’t just the situation. It was the story I was telling myself about it. And that story? It wasn’t aligned with who I actually want to be.
This is where so many of us get stuck, not because we’re not capable, but because we’re not working with our mind in a way that supports the results we want.
In this episode, I break down a few simple but powerful “rules of the mind” that shape how we think, how we show up, and what we ultimately create in our lives. When you understand these, you can start to shift out of patterns that keep you stuck and move toward what you actually want with more clarity, intention, and confidence.
If you’ve been feeling off, frustrated, or like you’re not seeing the progress you expected, this episode will help you realign and start getting results in a way that actually works.

In this episode, Ang shares a simple shift that’s been changing how she approaches her days, her decisions, and her energy: looking at the data in your own life.
Not in an overwhelming way.
Not by tracking everything or trying to optimize every second.
But by paying attention.
To your energy.
To your patterns.
To what actually makes you feel better… and what doesn’t.
Because when you start noticing what’s already there, you stop guessing and start making decisions that actually support how you want to feel.
Inside this episode, you’ll hear:
- Why feeling “off” is often feedback, not something that’s wrong with you
- The small patterns in your day that are quietly shaping your energy
- Why doing all the “right” things can still leave you feeling drained
- How to use your own life as data to make more aligned decisions
- A simple way to start paying attention without overcomplicating it
This isn’t about creating a whole new system.
It’s about noticing what’s already working… and what’s not.
And using that awareness to lead your energy instead of reacting to it.
